Adempas is prescribed to treat high blood pressure in the lungs, known as pulmonary hypertension. It works to relax and widen the blood vessels in the lungs so that blood can flow more easily. It may also be prescribed to treat another type of high blood pressure in the lungs caused by blood clots, when surgery is not an option.
Afinitor is used in the treatment of a wide range of cancers, carcinomas and tumors, including breast, pancreas, lung, and intestinal cancer, renal cell carcinoma or angiomyolipoma and advanced neuroendocrine tumors. It works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer or tumor cells. It may be prescribed alone or along with other medications.
